Would you please brief our readers about the background of Rhea Punjabi?
Rhea Punjabi – I am an Image & Self-Enhancement Coach. I help people detoxify from within and reflect their beautiful versions on the outside. I have currently transformed over 3,500 lives with my coaching and training sessions. I’m on a mission to empower over 100,000 individuals to live a life of confidence, clarity, purpose, and happiness.
What is the role of a self-enhancement coach? What is the idea behind this?
Rhea Punjabi – A self-enhancement coach empowers people to break out of a rut and embrace new beginnings, build their confidence, train them to get more respect, or even pursue their dream job (or date!).
My decision to pursue a career as a self-enhancement coach stems from my struggle with low self-esteem and the nagging feeling of ‘not being good enough. I remember my younger self desperately wishing for a genie who would magically help me overcome my irrational self-deprecating beliefs and wrecking emotional turbulence.
What moved you to choose this as your profession? What was your first step?
Rhea Punjabi – When I got my last job in 2016, I thought I would last with that company of my interest in the work and industry (education). Little did I know that my life was about to take a steep turn. Two of the departmental heads, whom I wouldn’t even report to, started getting in the way of my work and upsetting me like never before.
I was barely three weeks into the system. Without thinking twice, I packed my bag, left for home, and on the way, typed a resignation email to my boss. It was one of those spur-of-the-moment decisions, but later, I started questioning myself. Had I done the right thing? Oh my God, I’ll be sitting at home from tomorrow, all my friends will be busy, and I would be sitting here planning what to wear for my wedding (which was to take place in 6 months from that time).
I won’t deny I felt like a real loser for the next two days, but then I decided, enough is enough. I knew deep inside that my little plan of being an entrepreneur wouldn’t let me be at peace until I wouldn’t leap, and this was the time to take that leap! On the third day, I enrolled for a few self-development courses and simultaneously started working on building my profile, social media presence, and in no time, I got my first client!
This incident taught me an important lesson- Not everything in life needs a Plan B. You should have a Plan A and go for it. All out. Like never before. Like it’s a do-or-die situation, and miracles happen!
How do you get where you want to be?
Rhea Punjabi – By simply working towards it
What are your greatest professional strengths?
Rhea Punjabi – I believe professional success is easy to attain. 80% of success is achieved if our internal game is strong. Therefore, my strengths are that I am motivated to work on my internal game, have never-ending faith and trust in myself, my abilities, and my clarity of purpose.
What are your most outstanding achievements?
My most outstanding achievement is that I found my calling quite early in life. I have never felt this satisfied with my work. Day in and day out, I meet people from various walks of life and guide them to enhance their lives. It adds meaning to my life.
What are the difficulties you faced while dealing with clients?
Rhea Punjabi – The most challenging part of my journey was when I newly joined the industry and people didn’t know me. They didn’t trust that I could train and coach them. They felt I was too young to be a coach or, for that matter, guarantee that with my happiness programs, I could shift people’s happiness levels.
I started giving complimentary sessions for an hour or two so that they could get a flavor of my training. By the grace of God, now most of my clients come through word of mouth.
How do you motivate yourself to get work done after trying many things and failing over again?
Rhea Punjabi – When your WHY is strong, nothing can stop you. All we need is clarity of purpose. Remember, FAILure is First Attempt At Learning.
What is your best advice to keep yourself focused when there are already many distractions and barriers?
Rhea Punjabi – Focus on achieving five successes every single day. It does not matter whether the successes are big or small. Once you know you have to achieve five things during the day, that nagging voice inside you will push you to do it. Also, have an accountability partner. When you procrastinate or come up with excuses, your partner has got your back.
