One would think, what a ten-year-old boy would do for society? But the problem is with perspective, not age. No matter how small we are and what background we come from, once we fix our goals, we can reach them one day. We need sincerity and hard work. Let’s hear the story of social worker Mihir Brahmbhatt.

Mihir Brahmbhatt – My Story
I’m Mihir Brahmbhatt. I belong to the small town of Gujarat. I was ten years old when I started social services. One day, people in my village needed blood urgently. I felt like I needed to do something to help them. With the assistance of other people around me, I started a blood donation camp. People took an active part in it. As a result, the shortage of blood during emergencies in our village was reduced.
At that time, my father was in Africa for his job. My mother, a younger sister, and I were in India. I visited functions and managed every household work as the only male family member. It gave me a chance to connect with people. The more I knew about them, the more I understood the problems of the village and the areas surrounding it. I also made friends, who were older than me, due to my environment. I learned from seeing and hearing them work.
My grandmother was a teacher. She taught me good values and many other things that a child must learn in childhood. Everything that happened in and around me affected me and made me more empathetic towards people and their conditions. After the blood donation camp, I tried to eradicate whatever problem I found around me.
My goal was to work on every solution that I could work on. Helping others connected me to more and more people. Along the way, many NGOs and individuals joined me in my work. I moved from doing social work for the village to social work for the whole state, and with time, I targeted our nation.
Initially, my family members didn’t support me because people would warn me against it. Things got worse when people started appreciating my work and my story came on news channels. Some people were grateful, but some were scared of my popularity. They saw me as a threat. People called and messaged my father behind my back to keep me out of it. My family used to persuade me to leave this path of social services. However, I knew I wasn’t doing anything wrong.
I was helping people, and it was not a crime. I believed in God and kept on doing the work without hesitation. Even with all the trolling and threats around, I was lucky to have people who genuinely supported the cause without fearing these petite threats. We did many social services to help society.
After 13 years, in 2013, my family decided to leave India to shift to the USA. We were not sure whether I would get a visa or not.
I was 21 years old, and I didn’t want to leave the country. I was mature enough to live on my own according to the visa rules. However, my mother and sister didn’t wish to travel alone because they’ll face language barriers and many other issues if they did. So, everyone thought it would be better if I also shifted with them. At the same time, I got the visa, and I finally said yes to migration.
It was difficult to leave everything behind and move to a new world. It took me some time to adjust there, but the passion for my work never left me. I started monitoring everything from the USA itself. The language, time zone, and everything felt like a challenge. I googled most of the things to get accustomed to the new surroundings. I restarted my work. Throughout the time, people in India were in contact with me.
Even far from home, the country stayed within me. I kept on doing social work. We would help people in a crisis like our group had distributed food kits during the Gujarat flood. We started many donation camps and fundraisers and connected with our NGOs.
In 2018, I created a world record under “Journey of Unity”. I travelled across 426 villages, almost 6000 km in Gujarat, for 17 days to meet lakhs of people. Jan-Sabhas were held during the journey of Unity, where I listened and understood the problems people were facing in their lives. After coming back, I did everything to help these people. Sideways, I had finished my studies, and I wanted to set up something. That’s when I founded the World Talent Organization in the USA.
Travelling from one place to another has given me an idea of how talented people are, but they hardly get a chance to display their talent. That is my main motive behind establishing the World Talent Organization.
It is a certified international organization that helps people showcase their talents on the World stage. We have helped many people in creating world records. Anyone can apply, and there is no restriction on age, place, and gender. We also give options for different niches and segments. If one has the talent, we offer them the right platform.
Currently, covid has taken the world under its control, but we are trying our best to help people with whatever we can. WTO has also set up its name worldwide. People from many countries around the world are our clients. I still love serving society with the same passion I had when I was ten years old.
To inspire youth, I give motivational speeches on many occasions. Life has taught me a million things, and one of them is never to belittle anything. I started doing social work when I was barely ten years old. I was just a poor little kid, but I never gave up on my dreams. If I had thought of a blood donation camp in my village as a small thing, I would never have the sources to help people struggling nationwide.
I would have never reached where I am today. I have many people helping me for a cause, and it’s because I decided to take the first step. I find happiness in other people’s happiness and never look back. And I think that’s the reason behind my success.
