“Mera beta bada hoke engineer banega” – one of the famous lines from 3 Idiots is a crystal clear testimony to what we call the childhood of 90s kids. And working against all the odds, this is DP Vishwakarma’s journey of building a successful IT Company– KeywordsFly Technology.

Born in a middle-class family, he has been a shy kid in his childhood, and like any other 90s kid, all he was asked to do was study more and play less. It didn’t take long enough for him to realize that doing hard work wasn’t enough. Since he was born and brought up in the small town of Uttar Pradesh, opportunities were less.

After completing his senior secondary studies, he decided to come down to Delhi NCR for his grad. He took engineering, but life hit him with some hard choices. Coming from a small town, he lacked confidence, as you see in the movies. It made him understand the importance of the environment, so he started getting into various college activities.

Fortunately, he blended just right. He started talking, made a few mistakes, learned from them but found his way around. He had just got the hang of this urban lifestyle, and along came an opportunity in the form of network marketing. Since new things always excited him, he jumped right into exploring the field. It was still in his mind that something was always better than nothing. And to his surprise, he did learn the art of talking and discussing things with strangers. By the time he had known this, it was already the end of his graduation.

KeywordsFly – His Journey after Graduation

Not after very long, he realize that he is not meant for this office culture. It was a choice that he made. In just six months, he had left the office and sat at home to figure out ways to earn money. Like any other engineer, he was confused and had no idea which career choice he should make.

In his own words, “I was less confident, shy and had no clue regarding what I had to do with my life. In short, I was desperate like any other engineer. After a lot of thinking, I chose to utilize what I had in abundance – Focus. It was the only thing that I had because be it a day or night. I was constantly brainstorming, learning, and reading.”

Following his mantra of “Fight the war with what you have,” DP moved mountains to get work. He started making the best use of skills he learned from “networking marketing” during his college days. In the beginning, he struggled like anything, did a few gigs to learn, but the best thing that happened to him was self-realization.

Mr. Vishwakarma had an ordinary life, but his realization had made him understand that he would not lead it and would become capable of helping others live their dreams. One of his core team members says, “DP is full of life. He never stops himself. It’s always like if you meet him for the 1st time or the 10th time, you will learn something new. That thing will contribute a lot to getting you close to your success. I remember the first time we talked. It felt like we have been working together for ages. And trust me, there has been no looking back since then.”

Following a series of ups and downs, DP concluded that it was time to start his venture – KeywordsFly Technology – a digital marketing agency that will offer the consultancy to help businesses deal with problems specific to their niche. He truly is an epitome of a typical engineer turned marketing consultant turned internet entrepreneur.

How did DP Vishwakarma start his company?

It is always said that it’s easier said than done. The setting-up of KeywordsFly is the best example. With significantly less capital, the first challenge DP had was to give his company a physical presence. But unlike any other traditional businessman, he chose to work on a very different model, which made him more than a successful entrepreneur. He picked the virtual office concept that was very popular in the USA. In the beginning, he adopted it partially, but once the pandemic hit the world in 2020, the tables did turn, and he adopted the work from home more quickly than anyone in the industry.

His six months of work experience have taught him a few tricks. With a few under my sleeve, Ergo launched his digital marketing agency – KeywordsFly, after having a year of ups and downs. Now that his goal was clear, he started approaching people with everything that he had learned. In the meantime, he also devoted his time to gaining knowledge from various online courses, YouTube videos, and some of the best blogs in the industry. And if any of you are wondering whether it helped him or not, yes, they did. “You can learn what to check and what to leave once you start diving deep into the web,” says DP.

After countless rejections, DP landed his first project, and by the time he was five projects old, almost a year had passed. And when you have achieved something after tons of rejections, this certainly counts as progress. Once he registered the company name, his core team has touched a significant number. Speaking about his team, DP revisits nostalgia and says, “I was a small-town boy who not only consulted the top lots of the IITs and IIMs but even opened channels for many small-timers like me, throughout the country. It was me contributing proudly towards the growth of my nation – I had now become a proud Indian!”

Like every familiar engineer, he, too, thought of starting my career with a decent company. It was the time when digital marketing had just begun to expand in India. Seeing the field’s potential and his learning experience from the networking marketing field naturally stuck him to reap the benefits while he could.

It was DP Vishwakarma who believed that you could achieve anything with proper consultation. One of his oldest clients graced us with a personal line about him (DP). He says, “I have worked with the best of the cream in this country, yet I feel something has always been missing. I guess it was the zeal to help me that most people lacked. With DP Vishwakarma, I can proudly say that my business graduated to a six-figure number within a year of his consultation.”

Setting the most remarkable examples for young India, we felt incredibly proud and delighted to relive the story of a typical engineer, kyunki har beta engineer hota hai!!
