They say ‘age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. You are never too old or never too young to achieve anything in life. It’s about the mind, whereas age is just a number.’ Meedhansh Kumar Gupta proved this saying in reality.

He started learning coding and programming when he was merely five years old. The little kid didn’t know the basics of coding and still surprised his parents with his programming skills. His parents were astonished at his capabilities. So they decided to teach him more about it. Meedhansh success in the field is history that we are yet to know. So let us know more about his story.

Meedhansh Kumar Gupta – My Story

I’m Meedhansh Kumar Gupta, and I belong to Jalandhar, Punjab. My coding journey started when I was five years old. My parents are IT professionals, and they both are engineers. Apart from working as an engineer, they run an institution to teach coding and programming.

My school was close to my parents’ institute, so I used to stay there after coming back from school. I’d see college students learning coding, designing, and programming. I don’t know when and how these learning methods grabbed my attention, and I started developing an interest in coding. Once I tried it, and it fascinated me.

I began to take notes of those things my parents would teach in the class. As a 5-year-old kid, I don’t remember much of my childhood, but I can recall learning to code. I came up with a design a while later, and my parents were shocked by my action.

They asked me to do two to three other things, and I showed them what they wanted to see. My ability to program at the age of 5 amazed my father. He is a gold medalist, and so is my mother, so it wasn’t tough for them to understand that I had the potential to learn coding and programming. Thus, they decided to train me further.

After school, they would train me for two hours and sometimes more. They taught me by giving practical examples. My grasping power was incredible like I can remember song lyrics after listening to them only once, even sometimes in french, Spanish, or Arabic that doesn’t matter. I learned different languages through music only.

So when they taught me the basics of designing and coding, I grabbed it too fast. My father told me that you need a good and sharp memory. Age and qualification don’t matter, but interest and memory do. Programming is not easy, but it’s not impossible to learn either. So it doesn’t matter if somebody is doing a Bachelor’s or Ph.D., they can learn to program very quickly.

It solely depends on their grasping power, and I had that part. Due to my interest and better catching power, it became easier for them to teach me. I learned several languages like HTML, CSS, and dynamic programming like PHP, PYTHON, REACT, MYSQL DATABASE SYSTEM, etc. They taught me through practical examples and a few more things through books.

My father purchased a separate laptop for me to work on it quickly. I didn’t have a problem handling the electronic device because I wasn’t a naughty kid who would break it off. I loved experimenting and programming, even when I was six years old. Teachers were also surprised by my behavior. My calm demeanor always amazed them, but they supported me in whatever I wanted to do.

Bit by bit, I memorized everything, and I created my first website when I was eight years old. After turning 9, I joined my father’s company Sakaar Micro Solutions Pvt. Ltd., as a Junior Executive Officer.

Success knocked on my door when I created my first two big websites for my school and 21stjune.com, launched on International Yoga Day by Shri Vijay Sampla Chairman, NCSE, Cabinet Minister Rank. People recognized my work, and India Book of Records and World Records India registered my name into their records. Later, I got an invitation from an International Organization, EACC. I visited Europe Latvia to attend a function honored as ‘Youngest Entrepreneur.’

A while ago, my name was recorded into the World Book of Records and India Book of Records as the Youngest Corona Warrior for developing various websites and portals for social welfare to run social awareness programs. Along with it, I developed Punjab Government’s Corona Pandemic Campaign’ Mission Fateh.’ For my work, I was applauded by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and awarded by Cabinet Minister Shri O.P. Soni on Independence Day 2021.

My parents are planning to launch an NGO to teach young kids coding and programming in the future. This NGO will work to better lower-middle-class families so their children can also learn coding at a minimal price or free of cost either. We will start it from Punjab and then take the initiative to the whole country.

I will also help my parents in this good cause. Because whatever I am in my life, it’s all because of them. If they had restricted my learning due to my age, I wouldn’t have achieved what I have. My parents deserve the entire credit for my success.

I don’t have personal opinions to tell to conclude my journey, but I’d like to quote my father’s words. ‘It’s all about mindset whatever we become because of our mindset. If you want to achieve something, start immediately. God will bless you, and one day you will achieve your goal. By following this mentality, We can do anything.’
