Never One Without the Other

A poem, written by Sailee Brahme. It describes human emotions using aesthetic and rhythmic qualities. Read on to discover more… Never One.

You won’t understand joy

If you’ve never been sad

You won’t notice the good

If you’ve never seen the bad

You won’t appreciate being in the ‘pink of health’

If you’ve never been in pain

You won’t realize the fun in being mad

If you’ve always been sane.

Life is all about balance

There is never one without the other

Only when one foot stays behind

Does the other take your further

The greatest things in life

Always come in a pair

Even the Sun and the Moon shine

When a sky they share!
