Reaching Fame Is A Jabardasth Journey – Chaitanya

Reaching fame is a rare thing. Not everyone gets a chance to be famous. When those who become famous share their story, it is fantastic to hear them. Hatke Story brings you the saga of one such man who stayed true to himself even after reaching fame – Chaitanya!

Struggle for Life

The story of his birth is as interesting as the journey of his life. When his mother was pregnant with Chaitanya, she wanted to terminate the pregnancy. The reason is very old-fashioned and equally shocking. The doctor told his mother that she was going to have a girl! After raising two girls, she didn’t want to bring a third one into this world. However, the luck in Chaitanya’s stars favored him. His maternal grandfather offered to take the baby if it was a girl. So, before reaching fame, Chaitanya had to fight with fate to reach the Earth.

Days Before Reaching Fame

On November 26, 1992, Chaitanya was part of this world. He was still far from reaching fame. Even as a child, Chaitanya was very expressive. He recalls a funny anecdote where he hit the principal of Children’s Garden School on his head with a slate. It is unusual for a UKG student to take this step.

It is hilarious to imagine a kid throwing a tantrum like that. Chaitanya completed the rest of his schooling years at Nagarjuna English Medium School, Kondapalli. Chaitanya describes these days as the most joyful and filled with a lot of friends. Be it students, teachers, the principal, or even the housekeeping staff. Everyone befriended Chaitanya. Everyone enjoyed his company. The rapport, however, didn’t mean that teachers were lenient with him. The student-teacher decorum remained unchanged.

It was during his school days that Chaitanya suffered a heartbreak. Unfortunately, he liked a girl who couldn’t see beyond his body. The girl, with her limited mind, rejected a heart of gold. Chaitanya’s short love story raises an important question – Is love so dependent on looks? If it is, is it love at all?

Popularity Before Reaching Fame

Having a retail shop beside their house familiarised everyone with Chaitanya and his family. His grandmother’s acquaintance with the principal at the Lion’s Club added to this. It is another reason, apart from his personality, to mingle with people around him. Chaitanya describes the school as an extended family.

Academic Struggles

Trouble started only after school when Chaitanya was looking for the next course of action. Most of his friends went ahead with the popular Narayana and Chaitanya colleges. Our protagonist followed the crowd but soon realized that it was not his thing. He was left with a lot of supplementary exams to give. Chaitanya came back to his favorite place – Nagarjuna Junior College. Chaitanya shouldn’t be judged as a dull student for having supplementary exams to clear. He completed his intermediate with 82%.

Things were not smooth here too. When Chaitanya gave his EAMCET exam, he didn’t have a hall ticket to appear for such an important exam. It is unbelievable how a professor can come down to that level because of incompatibility with a student.

Still unaware of his journey towards fame, Chaitanya was dealing with confusion. What branch of Engineering to choose? What’s the best thing to do? One of his cousins suggested that he take up Electronics and Communication. Reaching fame is difficult when you follow others’ advice, but Chaitanya was exploring options. With ECE, Chaitanya was drowning in supplementary.

It was at this time that he had another realization. Chaitanya realized he’s not made for academics. He couldn’t tell his family that. So, he continued to pretend to go to college when he was killing time. God blessed him with good financial stability. Chaitanya would roam around the town with his friends until it was time to go home.

Chaitanya was a mature guy even before reaching fame. He wondered to himself why he was lying to his family. Was it worth it? Is it a cruel waste of time and money to be pretending like this? As these questions troubled Chaitanya, he confessed to his family that he has no interest in academics. Luckily, Chaitanya has a very supportive family. They agreed to his decision. Unfortunately, the people around Chaitanya were not as understanding as his family. They constantly troubled him with questions about his decision and endless comparison.

Troubled by all this, Chaitanya’s family sent him off to his uncle to assist him in a medical store. Little did they know that his destiny was all about reaching fame. Chaitanya gave this a try as well. He was doing the basics that were expected of him as an assistant in a medical store. However, all the while, he knew that his personality and his job were poles apart. Having tried everything and disappointed, Chaitanya returned home to attend the counter of his shop. Life was going on as usual when Chaitanya was advised by a friend to pursue his education again.

So, Chaitanya gave it one more shot, and this time he emerged victoriously. He gave exams privately and secured a Bachelor’s Degree and an MBA from Meghalaya University. Five years of exams and hard work gave him this sweet fruit.

Attempts To Reach Fame

Education was achieved, but employment was still alien to Chaitanya. The star was not made for employment. He was made for fame. The life-changing conversation with a friend helped Chaitanya realize this. His close friend, Kakarla Sridhar, suggested that Chaitanya participate in Jabardasth (a Telugu reality show aired on a regional channel). Unaware of his potential, Chaitanya laughed at the idea and dismissed it. Like all good friends, Chaitanya’s buddy insisted. Sridhar had connections with people in the show, so he introduced Chaitanya to them.

It marked the beginning of Chaitanya’s journey towards reaching fame. Things didn’t click right away for Chaitanya. The people, who Sridhar took Chaitanya, ignored him. It sparked off a passion in Chaitanya. He was determined to secure a chance in Jabardasth. He met every person he could to get a chance in the reality show. As destiny would have it, Chaitanya connected with another friend on Facebook and experienced the same disappointment again. Finally, fortune smiled at him, and Chaitanya was invited to Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.

Being An Actor 

On reaching there, Chaitanya realized that he was part of the third episode of a skit directed by a man popularly known as Bullet Bhaskar in Jabardasth. Without any knowledge of acting, Chaitanya was to play the role of a dead body in 2016. Now, it may have been easier to play a character that could speak, laugh or cry. To lie still and lifeless requires expertise in acting. It was going to be very difficult for Chaitanya. He played the role so well that this episode, too, was a hit like the last two.

Neither Bullet Bhaskar nor the audience could forget Chaitanya. The man continued to play roles in Bullet Bhaskar’s skits in every city till November 2019. By now, Chaitanya had almost realized his dream of reaching fame. He earned a sufficient amount of money too. Chaitanya was no longer the unemployed young man whom people pitied. He was getting closer to reaching fame every day. Bullet Bhaskar is now a significant part of Chaitanya’s life. Bhaskar is more of a mentor and a family member to him.

Chaitanya’s last shoot for Jabardasth happened in March 2020. Like all of us, the pandemic confined Chaitanya to his home. Jabardasth was not the only road to reaching fame for Chaitanya. He played the role of the priest in many shows before Coronavirus infected the world.

One such popular show is Inti Inti Gruha Lakshmi on Star Maa, where he appeared in 10 episodes. Chaitanya earned a good name for his role in the show. A year after this, he was busy catering to his own business. Chaitanya went to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and other cities for purchase purposes for their shop. Only recently, he resumed shooting for Jabardasth. He has also been part of a few movies. Chaitanya has also been an event organizer.

Filmy Journey To Reaching Fame

Talking about his filmy journey, Chaitanya told us how he landed a role in a blockbuster like Sardar Gabbar Singh. While he was actively looking for roles in the movies, luck decided to favor him further. Chaitanya met the manager of the film at a tea stall. Can you imagine the joy of a man who is offered a movie at random?

Chaitanya gladly agreed. When he found out the name of the film, Chaitanya stood in disbelief. He was about to share screen space with none other than Actor Pavan Kalyan. Chaitanya didn’t readily believe the offer. He got confirmation only after getting a call from the man the following day for auditions.

He got the role. The shooting went on for a couple of days, and Chaitanya was living his dream. It was a fairytale. However, life reminded Chaitanya very soon that it is not a bed of roses. When he and his friends went eagerly to see Chaitanya on the big screen, they found that the director edited his role.

Chaitanya didn’t lose hope. He continued to look for opportunities. His desire to act got him roles in small movies like Rarandoi Veduka Cheddar, etc. He got more opportunities in the daily soap operas. During this journey, Chaitanya learned a lot about life and money. Once he started earning, Chaitanya spent money more responsibly. He left his spendthrift personality behind and cut down on unnecessary expenses. Life taught him tough lessons.

Chaitanya’s most memorable moment was when he got an opportunity to share the stage with foreign actors at RK Beach in Vizag. Chaitanya laughingly speaks about the change in people’s behavior since his reaching fame. All those who mocked belittled and laughed at him call him their own. Chaitanya disapproves of this behavior change but accepts it as a way of life.

Clarity On Reaching Fame

Since childhood, Chaitanya has expressed great clarity in his thoughts. He continued the same even after reaching fame. Chaitanya’s weight never bothered him. He is a confident man. For him, his business is his life, and acting is his passion. He never let go off of one to pursue the other. Whatever Chaitanya did, he did with dedication. He is a perfect businessman at his shop and a responsible actor when he puts on makeup. Chaitanya plans to build his business and continue acting. He hopes to be able to direct his film when there is sufficient money.
