Savyasachi Care Foundation (SCF) is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Non-Government Organization headquartered in Jaipur, Rajasthan. SCF was incorporated in June 2020 and can be best described as the ‘institution of the people, people, and people.’
What happens when a group of like-minded and passionate people, determined to make a difference, come together for a cause? They move mountains! It is precisely the story of how the Savyasachi Care Foundation came into existence.
The foundation is the brainchild of like-minded philanthropists driven by a common goal of bringing happiness to people’s lives. They aim to bridge the vast gap between the privileged and the unprivileged of society. This group of closely-knit people was born and brought up in the state of Rajasthan. Ever since their childhood, they have been actively participating in social causes and their friends and family.
Savyasachi Care Foundation – The Founders
The pillars of this foundation are Mrs. (Dr.) Ruchi Sharma, Mrs. (Dr.) Manisha Choudhury, from an academics background, and Mrs.Preetmala Mathur from the hospitality industry. Both have diverse experiences ranging over a decade. Every person associated with Savyasachi Care Foundation is given an equal opportunity to perform to their best abilities.
Although sharing and caring have always been an inherent part of the Indian culture, due to the massive impact of the pandemic, people started reflecting on their existence and seeing the entire world in a different light. The pandemic made every human self-reflect and thought about the difference between his need and greed.
Although the lockdown did not disrupt the privileged class’s lives, it was no less than a massive storm for the daily wage workers. Amid massive unemployment and uncertainties, thousands of migrant workers resorted to walking miles to reach their villages and homes. Many of them didn’t even have enough food to feed their families.
Savyasachi Care Foundation observed this massive gap between two extreme classes of people and wanted to take a step to bridge this gap. They wanted to help connect people to fill the gap between a well-established part of society and another part of society below the poverty line. SCF was brought together without any delay by a few people who immediately started working towards this mission. Slowly and steadily, people started joining them. TODAY they have more than a thousand volunteers, followers, and supporters who help them in the day-to-day execution of their programs.
Savyasachi Care Foundation started engaging organizations, corporates, and individuals to undertake social welfare & upliftment activities in various fields such as Child Welfare, Education, Skill Development, Research & Development, Woman Empowerment, Human Rights, Health Care, Livelihood, Social Integration, Disability, Under Privileged Communities, Environment, Sanitation, Disaster Relief & Rehabilitation among many others.
During the pandemic’s peak, the SCF family spread smiles by distributing essentials such as food items, clothes, sanitizers, masks, and more. They held awareness camps to make people understand the precautions they should take. They are holding blood donation camps, tree plantation drives, road safety awareness, educational books, stationary distribution, female hygiene awareness camps, nutrition awareness camps, and more!
They also encounter various problems during their ground interaction in slum areas or unstructured social groups. They try to listen, understand their issues and then create a solution-based program for them. In this manner, they have empowered many girls through mentorship programs according to their skills and aspirations. They firmly believe that each person is uniquely talented and only needs to be nurtured in the right way to do well in their lives!
They have a deep respect for every individual and believe that people have their views and emotions towards society. Each individual has a specific understanding of society and gives back to the community as per their capacity. They understand this fact upon meeting with individuals and institutions. They try to understand their perspectives, the challenges involved, and how they can help.
They firmly believe that people should come forward without any hesitation and try to help society in any capacity without expecting anything in return. They are currently onboarding domain experts as advisors in Savyasachi Care Foundation who will guide with their expertise and speed up their operations. They also have plans for massive geo-expansion shortly.
