I sleep in the comfort of my home while you stand watch at the border

I weep in the comfort of my loved ones while you dedicate your life to following an order

I complain of hot and cold weather while you stay put in extreme conditions from Siachen to Rajasthan

I refrain from helping a needy brother while all you brothers in arms defend the realm of Hindustan

I hate walking a distance and prefer a car while you trek kilometers together with distance no bar!

I skate at my leisure on a well paved road of tar while you are posted at remote places like Andaman & Nicobar!

Dear god! Give me riches I pray, while you long for hearing the voice of your family once a day

Oh my god! What a tasty burger I say, while you forget hunger for the sake of your mission today

I enjoy watching a live cricket match while you are watching the land, the seas and the air

Thank you Oh Soldier! This feeling of safety that I enjoy is because of the hardships you bear

You are our angels braving weather, terrain and bullets protecting us from external forces

You are our archangels risking everything to rescue us from the unforgiving natural forces

We thank you for your service and you dear soldier are our true star!

We pray for your well-being in unison and hope there is never any war!
