It all started back in 2020 when pandemic spread and lockdown had caused too much panic and despair. Life almost stopped, and all we could see around was negativity. Glimmers Of Gujarat came up as a ray of hope for the people of Gujarat. 

Be it on TV or social media. There was hopelessness and bad news all around. Mental health was worst affected, and we even heard the news of suicides. Divyank and Dhruvi founded glimmers Of Gujarat.

So I (Divyank) and one of my friends, Dhruvi, thought, why not spark a smile in these times of sadness. That’s when Glimmers of Gujarat was born. We decided to share stories of people who struggled and survived. We just wanted the world to know they aren’t alone.

Though our journey has been no less of a roller coaster, it was challenging to take time from our daily routine to gather and share stories. There were times when we thought of giving it up as it was hardly leading anywhere.

Initially, we began to hire interns who could help us. Then our team started to grow when Komal and Bhargav joined as team members. Then we saw that we needed more diversification for growth, so we gradually started posting different kinds of reels, motivational quotes, funny videos, and many more. Ketul and Swayam joined, making our team a strong family of 6 members. We also started live sessions of people from different sectors to interact with them directly and benefit from their knowledge.

Today, as we complete a year, we have covered almost 100 stories, and we still work with the same vision of spreading stories and bringing hopes in life of people, making them believe once again in the power of holding on and believing in the beauty of life!! I want to thank my team for all the efforts they have put in. An initiative that just started as a small idea has grown into a full-fledge devoted work. We work as a team and as a family.
