Jhanvi: A 90’s Kid

Jhanvi

So, are you ready to look at life from a different angle with us today? The 90’s era was an era where technology wasn’t burdening the shoulders of the young ones. It was an era where kids were busy getting dirty in the mud outside their homes and needn’t worry about their looks so much, an era where everything was growing and evolving but at a pace that didn’t matter. Today’s story is of such a 90’s kid as well, her name is Jhanvi Patro, a young girl with dreams to be happy, her life goal was to seek happiness and while seeking for this said happiness earning enough to be independent.

As a child, she was close to her grandparents. She still is. Her grandfather is her biggest inspiration. While she looks for new opportunities, her grandfather’s lessons are still with her and take up most of the space in the driving force that pushes her to do great things in her life.

She was a child dubbing artist and has been the voice for Disney movies like Up and A bug’s life. While she loved being the star kid, her mother was determined not to let this aspect of her life hamper her studies. Quoted by Jhanvi herself, it was a balanced childhood, where she didn’t only understand the value of independence and responsibility but also realized the essentialities of education in one’s life.

While growing up, her mother instilled the lessons of independence in her as a child, and she still enjoys the perks of these early lessons of livelihood. While she enjoys her life to the fullest, she knows when to keep her foot down and when to let go. She claims that she loved her childhood and enjoyed the freedom bestowed upon her. She never really was the alleged starry rebellion teenager at all. Instead, she loved her family, and she always tried to understand the point of view before making a decision.

Jhanvi’s spent her school years in Mumbai, where she studied in no less than a Bollywood movie school. As the true protagonist, she never really did fit in. She was very picky about with whom she spends her time. It took her a little while to find her niche, but it was all rainbows for her once she did. She is still friends with her school friends and enjoys the trip down to memory lane once in a while with them.

She feels proud of her choice of being picky with her friends because not only did she grow up to find great people that she can trust, she also found like-minded people. According to her, it is essential to spend most of your time; everyone needs to find a niche that supports you and does not crush your individuality.

Jhanvi’s teens were as ordinary as chaotic as ours was, but she did find time to grow into this unique human being that not only cares for her loved ones but the society and nature at large. She found it irresistible not to help others. In her teens, she claimed that she took it under her shelter. Being a dog person, she took many strays home and helped them heal and find a home where they would be accepted and loved.

For Jhanvi, the world is her home, and she takes care of it just like that. She understands that doing even the tiniest bit in the world contributes to the overall betterment of the world. Even if all we did was feed a stray, it is more than enough; according to her, one person can make a difference, and she makes sure she does her bit to make it better.

Jhanvi is now in her young-adult years, but her life is still nothing less than a roller coaster. She works in Advertising and Marketing as a brand strategist and has recently found her new calling. She is now a small business owner wherein she designs aesthetic phone cover designs under the label JHANVISAESTHETIC and wishes to expand her endeavor in new aspects.

As a girl in her 20’s, she now realizes the importance of peace of mind. Her last job was nothing less than a pain in the ass, where all the work she didn’t only was not appreciated but rather was insulted, her efforts were all in vain, and she was miserable working for someone and not getting anything in return.

Sounds familiar, right? Haven’t we all been here, working for someone who knows we are doing a great job at our work. Still, all we get is insults. Being insulted and underappreciated for our work discourages us and contributes to the deterioration of our mental health stability. Stress and unhappiness can take a toll on anyone. As easy or small as it sounds, little things make a more significant impact, and it becomes challenging to stay motivated and deliver under constant pressure.

Jhanvi’s story is similar, but in one aspect, she is different. She is different in the way she fought back. She resigned from her position and put her foot down finally. She found the courage in her mother, who was her constant support through all of this and made her realize her worth and how important it is to take care of oneself, the importance of self-love, and self-appreciation. Not only did she quit her job, but her application was also rejected from IIM, but nothing pulled her down. She chose herself and had no regrets whatsoever.

Jhanvi’s story is of a fighter, a survivor, and most of all, a beautiful human being. She continues to motivate and inspire me and many others just like me with her zest for life and her courageous steps. Her life is nothing less than a saga, and she wishes to write the best one yet!
