That moment when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. It’s only possible when you find your better half, and that feeling is fantastic. Nothing in the world can compare the happiness of finding true love and then getting married to it. So we have brought another Hatke love story of Devansh Kamboj and Himani Dhall (Maggi) for all of you. Let’s explore it.
Devansh Kamboj – His Story
I’m Devansh Kamboj. I graduated from Delhi university’s north campus. Initially, I worked as a photographer. I used to cover different projects like weddings and photoshoots of my friends. I switched to modeling when I was shooting for e-commerce companies. They needed models, and I had submitted my pictures. They liked all of them, and that’s how I got into modeling.
There was a contest by Hindustan Times called “Roll Out The Red Carpet” in which we had to post a picture, and they were supposed to select the best pictures among all of them.
They selected my picture, and RJ 104 FM interviewed me. When I reached my college, there was a dhol and red carpet that rolled out for me when I was entering inside. It was such a big moment of joy for me.
Then I began to participate in different functions and social media competitions. I’d usually win all of them. I started blogging after that point only.
One and a half years later, Marsplay App contacted me as a creator for an event. That’s where I met Himani Dhall (Maggi) for the first time. It was a regular meeting. I didn’t know I’d ever fall for this girl, but life is unexpected, and you have no idea how things will change.
There was a contest organized by Ajio.com and managed by POPxo in which they told us to create party looks with our clothes. Whosoever wins the competition will get 8000 Rupees cash. So I participated and won that weekly contest. I needed to purchase clothes and post pictures or create content from them. I invested a part of it and brought clothes to create looks. That’s how I won a seven-day trip to Belgium and a chance to be a part of the world’s biggest music festival, “TOMORROWLAND.” AJIO.com entirely sponsored our trip.
I took my best friend on this trip. This event changed my life. Many big brands started recognizing me as a fashion blogger. After this, I went to another fashion seminar at Andaz Delhi, where I met Maggi again, and we had a formal conversation with each other.
We connected on Instagram, where we discussed fashion, our work, and content. She said that she needed a few talented creators for her project and photoshoot. It was related to rented clothes for weddings and events.
Love Story starts
We had a shoot in Delhi, and after this project, Maggi and I became friends, came close to each other and started chit-chatting more often. We both were dealing with a breakup, and around March, I realized I had developed feelings for her. I decided to confront her face to face uniquely. I said I wanted to discuss something, and she got some hints thus avoided it for a few days.
Then we met at a restaurant. I wrote a poem to express my feelings and purchased an electronic pad from Amazon. I confessed my love and wrote a poem named ‘The Social Bird’ and a message ‘I Like You’ on the slate. I told her to write back if it’s yes, or she can erase it if it’s a no. For a change, she chose to hang me in the air and did nothing.
Although she appreciated my effort, saying, ‘I think it’s overwhelming and cute, I need time to think about it.’ Then we began spending more time with each other to know if we were compatible with each other or not.
A month later, we went to a resort based in Nainital for a work project with other creators. I took her somewhere out on a hill, and I told her about my past. I promised to be with her in every situation. I knew her parents were already searching for a suitable guy for her, but I said I wouldn’t back out, not even for marriage. Then we danced together, but she didn’t answer my question. When we came back, she agreed to be in a relationship, and that was one of the best days of my life.
4 to 5 months later, her parents started to push her to look for a suitable match, but she rejected every one. Now, they started questioning a lot. I was always serious, so I agreed to get married. Then it went smooth like any marriage. Her parents visited my house, and we got engaged. Recently, in November 2020, we tied the knot. So that’s how our story unfolded.
I have learned a lot from my experiences, and one of the essential things about marriage is that “A successful marriage requires falling in love many times but always with the same person. It is beautiful to settle down with the person you know personally, so just go with the flow and enjoy the moment. I often tell her that even if one of us messes up, we will clean it together.
